MEET RICHARD MEGINNIS
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
The community of Lincoln has meant a great deal to my family. Having been in business here for 30 years, I have been involved in so many great projects for the betterment of the people of Lincoln. My passion for Lincoln and desire to continue the economic progress being made, I announced my intentions to run for Lincoln City Council District 2.
My service on the Lincoln Public School Board working on projects to offer opportunity to future generations was rewarding to me. My philosophy on the School Board was to gather information and work with my colleagues to make the best decision for the students and community. I will take this same approach to the Lincoln City Council.
As President of NAI FMA Realty, a locally owned commercial real estate company, I have had the opportunity to work directly with the local business community. This has given me the resources needed to encourage growth for the community and create a city that our talented work force wants to call home.
I am running for city council for three specific reasons: (1) public safety – Lincoln is a safe community to raise a family, live and work – and I want to make sure we make the resources for police and firefighters available to keep our community safe; (2) economic growth – over the past several years, Lincoln has invested in projects for our community to attract workers and build a strong economy – I will continue Lincoln on that path on the city council; and (3) infrastructure and roads – we need to continue to make sure our roads meet the needs of our community to provide the infrastructure necessary for the safety of our citizens and to spur economic growth.
